During the Grammy Awards and the Academy Awards broadcasts recently, two commercials aired employing one of Jay and Ray’s most memorable tunes, “Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)”, as their musical inspiration. Visually stimulating, both spots take unexpected casting and creative flights of fancy to new heights. We would like to thank both Samsung and Squarespace for choosing our song as a major part in these surprising and moving commercials.
Doris Day initially refused to record QUE SERA SERA because she thought it was a children’s song. But this was the important song in the picture, so Paramount insisted that she record it. She knocked it off in one take and said, “That’s the last time you’ll ever hear THAT song”.
